Adirondack Park in upstate New York, comprising six million acres, is the largest park in the lower 48 states. Part of the largest Boreal forest in the world, it features rivers, lakes, waterfalls, hardwood and conifer forests and the High Peaks, 46 mountains over 4000 feet. The drive to the summit of Whiteface Mountain, at 4867 feet elevation, reveals spectacular views in all directions.
